On May 10, at the Warsaw office of the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, the representative of Huta Stalowa Wola, Grzegorz Szydło, and the vice-president of Hanwha Aerospace, Boo Hwan Lee, signed a letter of intent, which will constitute the basis for further expansion of the areas of cooperation between Polish and Korean industries.

The Abrams Regional Competence Center was established in Poznań – 20.02.2024

On the premises of Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne S.A. in Poznań The Regional Competence Center for servicing Abrams tanks was officially inaugurated. This is the result of successful cooperation between Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne, which is part of the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, and the American tank manufacturer General Dynamics Land Systems.

PGZ at WDS 2024 – 02.02.2024

The Polish Armaments Group will present a wide range of modern weapons for the markets of the Middle East and Africa at the World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Record contract for 155 mm ammunition for the Polish army – 22.12.2023

On December 22, the PGZ-Amunicja Consortium and the Armament Agency concluded an executive agreement for the supply of nearly 300,000 pieces of 155 mm artillery ammunition implemented under the National Ammunition Reserve program. This is a historic contract both in terms of the size of the order and its value of nearly PLN 11 billion. Ammunition deliveries will take place in 2024-2029.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa joins ASD – 30.11.2023

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. joined the Aerospace, Security and Defense Industries Association of Europe based in Brussels. This will allow the company to promote the interests of the defence industry in dialogue with the European Union institutions.

PGZ – MBDA UK agreement for the supply of NAREW system elements – 07.11.2023

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. as the leader of the PGZ-NAREW Consortium, concluded an agreement with MBDA UK regarding the supply of rocket components and launchers for the NAREW system, as well as the transfer of technology and knowledge in their production. The agreement, which is a continuation of the existing cooperation, will enable the production of NAREW system elements by the companies of the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa that are part of the consortium.

Two Naval Missile Units will join the Polish Navy – 26.10.2023

On October 26 PIT-RADWAR and Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne, companies belonging to the Polish Armaments Group, signed  contracts with the Norwegian concern Kongsberg Defense & Arerospace (KDA) for the construction and delivery of two Naval Missile Units, with servicing and production of NSM missiles.

PGZ at the Seoul ADEX fair – 16.10.2023

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa will take part in the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition, which will take place on October 17-22, 2023 in the capital of the Republic of Korea.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa at the MSPO 23 Expo – second day – 06.09.2023

The second day of the 31st edition of the MSPO exhibition for Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa focused on strengthening the cooperation with foreign partners. Among the numerous agreements concluded by PGZ, the most important events were the signing of offset license agreements and executive contracts for Phase II of the Vistula Program and an agreement with the first tender contract for the production of Javelin missiles in Poland.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa i Hyundai Rotem Company formed a tank consortium – 31.03.2023

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, Wojskowe Zakłady Motoryzacyjne and the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem Company have signed a consortium agreement. Its goal will be to jointly offer K-2PL tanks and accompanying equipment to the Polish army.

PGZ – MBDA UK agreement for tank destroyers – 16.05.2022

Nine companies of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) have concluded an agreement with MBDA UK regarding co-operation in the tank destroyer segment. The agreement will allow for the design and production of this class vehicles with the use of MBDA UK Brimstone anti-tank guided missiles.

EDA Chief Executive visits PGZ – 28.04.2022

The headquarters of the Polish Armaments Group was visited by the European Defense Agency (EDA) delegation, headed by EDA Executive Director Jiří Šedivy. Contract for the delivery of NAREW system components – 14.04.202

The PGZ-NAREW Consortium concluded a contract for delivery of initial components of the NAREW system based on CAMM missiles and their integration with components supplied by the Polish Armed Forces. Deliveries will be made between 2022 and 2023

PCO S.A., celebrating its 45th anniversary, concluded two important agreements on foreign markets expansion, WZL-2 put another step on their way to the development of F-16 aircraft servicing capabilities, and Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne S.A. formed a Consortium to carry out the delivery of equipment for the “Wisła” system.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa participates in the 29th International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO). The first day of the exhibition was a series of procurements and agreements concerning projects for the coming years, including the most important in the history of the Polish defense industry – a framework agreement for the acquisition of short-range air defense missile units under the code-name Narew. PGZ signs offset execution agreement with Raytheon Missiles & Defense and Northrop Grumman – 12.08.2021

Finalized agreements with Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) support the obligations with Raytheon Missiles & Defense as part of the offset program for Poland’s WISŁA Medium Range Air Defense System. Signed business license agreements between PGZ and Northrop Grumman for Northrop Grumman’s portion of WISŁA are included in the agreements.

Changes in the Governing Bodies of PGZ S.A. – 21.04.2021

The Ministry of State Assets issued a positive recommendation on the appointment of Mr. Sebastian Chwałek, Mr. Bogdan Borkowski and Mr. Paweł Olejnik to the Management Board of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. Sebastian Chwałek also obtained the consent for employment from the Prime Minister, therefore, from April 16, he was officially appointed by the Supervisory Board of PGZ S.A. for the position of the President of the Management Board.

New Management Board of PGZ S.A. – 08.04.2021

The Supervisory Board of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. selected candidates for the positions of the President and Vice-Presidents of the Management Board of PGZ S.A., after conducting the qualification procedure. The position of the President of the Management Board was entrusted to Mr. Sebastian Chwałek, while the positions of Vice-Presidents of the Management Board were entrusted to Mr. Bogdan Borkowski and Mr. Paweł Olejnik.

GPBO-40 for the Polish Armed Forces – 09.03.2021

Zakłady Metalowe DEZAMET S.A. based in Nowa Dęba has signed an agreement for the supply of a batch of GPBO-40 40 mm single-shot under-barrel grenade launchers with the Armament Inspectorate.

Another order for command vehicles – 21.12.2020

On Monday, December 21, 2020, in Warsaw, the Armaments Inspectorate and Zakłady Rosomak S.A. concluded an agreement for the supply of another batch of command vehicles produced by Rosomak S.A. to the Polish Armed Forces. The agreement assumes the delivery of 8 vehicles on a KTO chassis in 2021-2022. The value of the contract is PLN 70 million.

The Polish Armed Forces get hold of a PSR-A PILICA – 18.12.2020

Representatives of the PGZ-PILICA Consortium, responsible for the implementation of the program to acquire the PILICA Anti-aircraft Missile-Artillery Systems (PSR-A) handed the first of the six ordered sets over to the Polish Armed Forces. The sets were accepted on the premises of the Third Warsaw Air Defense Missile Brigade from Sochaczew.

Another batch of ammunition for RAK mortars ordered – 17.12.2020

Zakłady Metalowe DEZAMET S.A. signed another agreement with the Armament Inspectorate for the modernization of 120 mm HEI mortar ammunition. The ammunition is used in M120 RAK self-propelled mortars.

Order for additional KRAB howitzers for the army – 16.12.2020

Thanks to the cost optimization related to the REGINA program thus far, the army ordered additional self-propelled Krab gun-howitzers and accompanying vehicles. This is the result of successful cooperation between the Polish arms industry and the Ministry of National Defense.

New production and storage complex at ZM Dezamet – 14.12.2020

On the premises of Zakłady Metalowe DEZAMET S.A., a part of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, a ceremonial opening of a new production and storage building took place. The project is part of a company’s production potential development plan, among others within the implementation of KRAB, RAK, KRYL and TYTAN programs.

Milestone in the implementation of the POPRAD self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system (SPZR POPRAD) program – 30.11.2020

PIT-RADWAR S.A. completed this year’s delivery of a set of Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Missile System (SPZR) POPRAD to the Polish Armed Forces. Twenty-four systems were delivered to military units in Poland and the Air Force Training Center in Koszalin.

More Leopard 2PL tanks set off to Wesoła – 17.11.2020

A formal acceptance procedure of another batch of Leopard 2PL tanks was completed last week in Zakłady Mechaniczne “BUMAR – ŁABĘDY” S.A. The upgraded vehicles will be used by the 1st Tadeusz Kościuszko Warsaw Armoured Brigade.

Mesko will supply 23 mm BZT cartridges – 17.11.2020

MESKO S.A. has signed a contract with the Armament Inspectorate for delivery of 23 mm cartridges with BZT (armour-piercing incendiary tracer) bullets for ZU-23 anti-aircraft guns which are part, among others, of PSR-A PILICA system fire units.

Borsuk at the Drawsko Pomorskie training ground – 23.10.2020

In September, a prototype of the New Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) code-named BORSUK appeared at the Drawsko Pomorskie training ground. The vehicle, together with the ZSSW-30 Remote Turret System installed, has undergone a series of tests and checks, including a live-fire exercise.

PSR-A PILICA started handover tests – 22.10.2020

The PGZ-PILICA consortium is finalizing the handover tests of the Anti-aircraft Missile System (PSR-A) PILICA, before delivery of the first system to the Polish Armed Forces.

The new member of the Company’s Management Board was appointed as a result of the qualification procedure.

Zurad’s solutions to combat the pandemic- 08.10.2020

Zurad won the first comprehensive tender in Poland for the creation of an observation and isolation area, a segregation system (triage) and safe transport of patients suspected of being infected with the SARS CoV-2. The system consists of 6 containers, which will be delivered to the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Lublin.

Training “125” from MESKO for the Polish Armed Forces – 08.10.2020

MESKO S.A. has signed an agreement with the 3rd Regional Logistics Base from Cracow for rearming 125 mm ammunition in order to adapt it for training purposes. This contract will provide the Polish Armed Forces in the coming years with several thousand pieces of training sub-caliber ammunition for the crews of T-72 and PT-91 basic tanks.

Jelcz and Wojskowe Zakłady Uzbrojenia (WZU) will produce transport and loading vehicles for “Wisła” – 23.09.2020

The companies of the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa have entered into an agreement for the supply of vehicles intended for the transport of rockets which will be included in the “Wisła” system batteries.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa will provide equipment and ammunition for the army – 14.09.2020

Rosomak S.A. will provide the Polish Armed Forces with 60 Rosomak-S Personnel Carriers adapted to carry Spike anti-tank missile sets, and Mesko S.A. will deliver 174,000 pieces of ammunition for small-caliber cannons, 11,000 bullets for Dana 152 mm howitzer cannons and 8,000 bullets for the 122 mm “Goździk (Carnation)” howitzers. The contracts were signed on September 14 this year in the presence of the Minister of National Defence.

Defenders for the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa companies – 10.09.2020

In accordance with the annual tradition, also at the current 28th edition of the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, Defender prizes were awarded. The rewarded companies included two members of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa: Zurad sp. z o.o. and Wojskowe Centralne Biuro Konstrukcyjno-Technologiczne S.A.

PERUN at the Giżycko training ground – 10.09.2020

In mid-August, Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów S.A. (ZMT), a part of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, conducted integration and field tests of the PERUN system. This is a code name for the project of an autonomous wheeled vehicle with an armament module for reconnaissance and combat tasks carried out in cooperation with the Military University of Technology and STEKOP S.A.

State Security Leader 2020 – 09.09.2020

During this year’s edition of the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, the results of the 8th edition of the National Competition “State Security Leader 2020” were announced. Among the winners awarded by the jury were companies belonging to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa.

Cooperation between Jelcz and WZŁ-2 for the Wisła Program – 09.09.2020

The companies Jelcz sp. z o.o. (Jelcz) and Wojskowe Zakłady Łączności Nr 2 S.A. (WZŁ-2), both members of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, concluded an agreement for the construction and supply of communication and IT systems on Jelcz truck chassis for the first phase of the “Wisła” program. The agreement is another step to adapt the PATRIOT system to the requirements of the Polish Armed Forces.

Czech-Polish Agreement on Cooperation for the Polish Armed Forces – 08.09.2020

Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. (HSW), a part of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, signed a cooperation agreement with the Czech company Tatra Export S.R.O. (Tatra). The subject of the agreement is the design and delivery of a finished 4×4 vehicle together with complete technical documentation enabling the production of the vehicle in Poland.

GROT carbines for the Polish Army keep on coming – 08.07.2020

Fabryka Broni “Łucznik” – Radom sp. z o.o. will deliver more MSBS GROT carbines to the Polish Armed Forces. On July 8, 2020, a contract was signed at the company’s registered office for the delivery of over 18 thousand pieces of this weapon in the years 2020-2026. The value of the contract is PLN 177 million. The contract signing ceremony was attended by Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak.

Helmets from Maskpol for the Polish Army – 05.06.2020

The Ministry of National Defence has placed an order for composite helmets manufactured by PSO Maskpol S.A. The agreement covers the delivery of 50 thousand helmets in the 2020-2023 period, worth PLN 93.5 million.

First Leopard 2PLs delivered – 28.05.2020

The PGZ consortium, within the framework of the agreement for the modernisation of Leopard 2A4 tanks concluded with the Armament Inspectorate, formally completed the handover process of the first two tanks in the 2PL standard. The handover of the next three vehicles is to be completed this week. The formal handover of vehicles is an important stage in the programme, enabling the delivery of further batches of modernised Leopard 2PLs.

Mortars and uniforms for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland – 22.05.2020

The Armament Inspectorate has signed contracts with companies belonging to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) to supply equipment for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. In 2022-2024, the consortium led by Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. (HSW) will supply selected elements of five Company-Level Fire Modules – self-propelled 120 mm “Rak” mortars, while PSO Maskpol S.A. will supply nearly 440 thousand field uniforms and summer field uniforms in the years 2020-2021.

The Extraordinary General Meeting of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. have made changes to the composition of the Supervisory Board. New members of the Supervisory Board of PGZ S.A. are Mr. Paweł Stańczyk and Mr. Hubert Królikowski.

New Management Board of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. – 23.03.2020

The Supervisory Board of PGZ S.A. decided on the competition for the post of President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A., by appointing Andrzej Kensbok. The supervisory authority also concluded the selection process for the post of Vice-President of the Management Board and Member of the Management Board of PGZ S.A., by appointing Michał Pietrzyk and Hubert Stępniewicz, respectively.

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and Raytheon strengthen cooperation – 26.02.2020

PGZ Group companies: Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy Centrum Techniki Morskiej (CTM) and Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów (ZMT) signed agreements with Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN). Within the agreements the companies will supply services and materials necessary to build Poland’s WISŁA air and missile defense system based on the Patriot™ system.

PGZ and Bell Textron Inc. sign letter of intent to cooperate on “Kruk” helicopter program – 05.02.2020

At Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze nr 1 S.A. in Łódź, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and the American company Bell Textron Inc. have officially announced the signing of a letter of intent regarding a potential cooperation. The parties intend to jointly develop cooperation in support of the “Kruk” helicopter program implemented by Polish Ministry of National Defence.

Another ammunition order for PGZ – 18.12.2019

Companies belonging to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa concluded contracts with the Armaments Inspectorate to supply ammunition for the Polish army. Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet S.A. will supply 73 mm anti-tank shells for IFV BWP-1, while Mesko S.A. 30×173 mm ammo for Rosomaks.
