Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa is a leader of the Polish industry and one of the largest defence companies in Europe. We gather over 50 companies and hold shares in 32 others (industries: defense, shipbuilding, new technologies).

PGZ’s main priority is broad participation of the Polish defence industry in the programmes of the Technical Modernization Plan of the Polish Armed Forces in order to enhance Poland’s defensive potential, including WISŁA (medium-range air defence systems acquisition), NAREW (short-range air defence systems acquisition), ORKA (new submarines acquisition) and other MoD priorities. Furthermore, PGZ modernizes and maintains vehicles, airplanes, helicopters and vessels, including post-Soviet equipment.

PGZ is also focused on strengthening its position on the foreign markets and developing competitive exports. The arms industry is a sector which requires constant technological progress, therefore PGZ aims at acquiring the high technology transfers from foreign entities. To achieve this goal, the company is constantly building its strategic alliances which will boost the development of defence sector as part of the Polish Armed Forces Technical Modernisation Plan of the Polish Armed Forces in order to enhance Poland’s defensive potential. As an organisation established to assure national security, PGZ dynamically responds to changes occurring in the international environment and new forms of handling conflicts that accompany the globalisation process, in order to provide security for the soldiers using its equipment on the battlefield, as well as uniformed formations and civilians.
The company offers, among others, a very short range air defence system including “POPRAD” system with the “SOŁA” High Mobility Radar. “ROSOMAK” AMV, proved in combat in Chad and Afghanistan, a 120 mm self-propelled mortar “RAK” on wheeled chassis and 155 mm self-propelled howitzer „KRAB”, regarded as one of the most state-of-the-art self-propelled howitzers in the world, a mobile anti-aircraft missile set “GROM” and its successor “PIORUN”, a various types of unmanned aircraft systems and a full individual soldier equipment led by highly appreciated “GROT” modular rifle systems. Wide company portfolio also includes personal equipment, C4ISR, land, air and naval platforms as well as artillery and air defence systems.
